Day 90: Concha

Today was a free food day haha. We covered bakerys an restaurants so that means we get free food. Anyhoo This morning I thought I was going to go cover Tiesto... This afternoon I dont know if I will be able to go know... I might have to go cover two soccer games at Corpus... if i get chosen. Will see. I wouldnt mind going to Corpus, but I wouldnt mind watching Tiesto.

Day 89: Flowers

So I bought my golf clubs last night and some running shoes... I like both. Cant wait to go hit some balls. So this is the last week of lent. I get to eat out again and drink booze. I dont know if I will do it like I used too, but will see. I see these flowers everywhere and I found some by my apartment so I decided to take a photo of them. This is what I got haha.

Day 88: 150,000

Finally reached 150,000. I thought Amber wouldnt survived... but she has. I love her. We have spent many good and bad times. Next goal is 200,000... you think we can reach it??? I think so... WOOP WOOP.. LOVE YOU AMBER!!!

Day 87: Lights

Today was good. I saw Duke defeat Baylor. I still think I should have gone to Houston to go see it... but im not going to think about it anymore... its the past. I spent sometime with my Valley family. it was my friends and her moms birthday this past week so they celebrated today with a bbq. Good food. Then we went to go watch Hot Tub Time Machine... It was good. I found a few editing errors, but whatever. Right now I have some stuff I want to get out... but I wont. Not right now... who knows when. I did tell my friend something that I have been thinking about lately... Glah... FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS!!!

Day 86: Passport

Like I said I finally got my passport. I think my mom wants to go to Ohio and visit my uncle. She also wants to take a trip to Canada, so hopefully its a go and I am there. Todays goals were: cash check... check, workout... check, clean... check and watch UK lose haha... check. This is a GREAT tournament and enjoying it a lot. I actually had UK going to the championship, but I wasnt cheering for them. Oh today I found out I won second place for the sports category and honorable mention in the feature section of the APME - Texas awards... whatever that is haha. I wonder what the photos were. Some other peeps from the office won too so thats always cool. I hope I get a plaque or something haha. More on this as I find out what it is.

Day 85: Ladder

I got my passport today... thats cool. Now where should I go? I have a few places in mind... Right now Im kicking myself for not going to Houston to watch the NCAA tournament. Its cool.. Ill survive... In other news... I have paid off two credit cards and a loan and Im thinking of paying off two more really soon... now I would also like to buy a ps3 and golf clubs... I think the clubs will come first though. Im still waiting for a check to come in for some work I did.

Day 84: Walking Path

Im looking forward to start working out again... Its getting hot and I wanna look good haha. I just need my ankle to heal and Ill be good to go.

Day 83: Buttons

Slow day today... I went looking for golf clubs and I think I found some. I might suck right now at golf, but Im sure I can learn quick and beat your butt haha.

Day 82: Soccer

I dont know what to put here. This is a photo from the Brownsville Lopez vs Edinburg High. Lopez won 4-0. That was a no brainer... Umm sooo yea... whats up?

Day 81: Parachute

I missed the Golden Knights AGAIN!!! Damn it... Ive been wanting to go on their plane and hangout with them for a while. Check out my photo blog to see some of the photos from that shoot. Click on the right link labeled "Life Through the Lens". Im planning to go skydiving soon. I just need to do it. I also want to go bungee jumping too. Anyone want to join me? Hey we only live once... why not do it and say you have done it. Plus its a rush of blood to the head.

Day 80: Phone

I hate times when I forget to take a photo and I need something ASAP for my blog. So this is my phones wall paper. Can you guess who it is? hahah. Oh look at the time too... just making it before its 12am. I showed a similar photo of miss. swift to my mom and told her she was my girlfriend and i did a shoot of this girl... hoping that she didnt know who swift was... she laughed at me and said yea right. My mom still doesnt know who she is. GLAH!

Day 79: Gorditas

Another day of great basketball. I threw in the towel... There is no way I could win now haha. I didnt get to watch much today, but I can just imagine the games. As for my photo of today... They are Gorditas... AMAZING I tell you and I wish they sold them down here. Pretty much its a fat tortilla deep fried and filled with good stuff. I prefer Picadillo which is ground meat with potato. Add some lettuce, tomato, cheese and some green salsa... YUMMM!!! I think everyone should try it... I bet you will like it. Tomorrow is the last day of the Livestock Show and you bet that I will be eating one more one last time.

Day 78: Hockey

Day 2 was awesome... I could watch basketball 24/7. I miss those days and I cant wait for the next tip off. I shot a baseball game today and a hockey game... it was a pretty good day. I was able to watch basketball for the the first 4 hours of work. I was chatting with my sister and telling her how I need a break from the Valley. Soooo I would like to go to visit my friend in Denver. I have the money. Now i need to find a date. Will see what happens. I also want to go to London, but thats a little expensive.

Day 77: High School Baseball

Today was day one of the NCAA tournament... GREAT DAY! I love basketball so much... people say they can tell by my work... I dont know... ok maybe haha. I enjoy watching it, hearing it, breathing it... The buzzer beater, the upsets, the silly mistakes. As much as I wanted to win the bracket... I dont think that will happen. Im cheering on Duke for sure since they are my team since I was a baby... NMSU is in it still since they havent played haha UNM won and they are our rivals and UTEP choked... With all the trash talking I did at work... Im sure everyone is happy to see my brackets go down hill haha but its all gravy. I love the game and Ive been sitting on the sidelines watching buzzer beaters and messed up games and who knows what else... Best part about this is... im not a sore loser haha. In other news... the top three people in the brackets are perfect... AMAZING! Day 2 is manana... Cant wait!!!

Day 76: Media

I had a shoot at the McAllen Police Department for a shooting that occurred at a Walmart during the weekend... So I guess all of the McAllen Media was there. Five tv stations and three newspapers... pretty interesting. Oh the best part of this shoot were the pretty tv reporters... Hey HEY hey!!!!

Day 75: More Candy

Buying candy was a bad idea... especially with a sore foot. I have a bag left and I will take this to work and eat that over there. Im starting to feel better so I think Ill be walking better tomorrow.

Day 74: Farmville

So my foot is hurting, but I hope to be good to go by Wednesday. Spent the day watching my crops grow.... Yes, I have no life. Well I do. I started this game and I have to finish it. Im very dedicated haha.

Day 73: Candy

Had another day off and it was great. I love March Madness and Im excited to watch the games starting Thursday. I played some basketball today with some co-workers and I ended up rolling my ankle... soooo im in a little pain right now. I had to go do a candy run, even with a rolled ankle. I love reeses chocolate. haha

Day 72: Fair

Fair food is awesome!!! A little expensive, but totally worth it. This fair goes on for another week so I will totally be having some more snacks, while I work haha.

Day 71: Max

I love dogs... I wish I could get one for my apartment, but the office wont let me.

Day 70: Fan

Its starting to get hot down here. Yesterdays high was 90ish today was 84ish... Im glad I got my AC working in my car. I need to get my window working. I also need to buy a table fan soon for my desk.

Day 69: Rowdy

I had a shoot today with a lady who lost her husband in a bus accident a year ago. This is her kitty Rowdy and he got my eye as soon as I walked into her house. He was cute, but better yet, he was keeping this lady company. I felt her loneliness and it really bothered me... I dont know why? Some things that have been bothering me is the whole Mexico/Drug crap that is going on... I just wish it would just end. People just want power and be... pretty much God... and they cant... and they have to ruin life... I hope it ends soon cause this shit is starting to get old.

Day 68: Lady Bug

Had a weird day today... wait did I? Anyhoo, today I got news of a bonus with our paychecks this Friday... GREAT NEWS!!! and its a good amount. I also found a freelance assignment waiting for me on my desk... WOOHOO!!! Easy money!!! Im excited to pay off lots of bills this weekend AND still have money on the side.

Day 67: End of the Road

Day 66: Beer

So I have told people that I have given up alcohol for lent and they look at me like Im crazy!!! I havent really craved it much lately, but I do miss it. I have four more weeks left. Im going to finish off strong.

Day 65: Chair

March 6, 2010... I had to do a run at Chunky Burger since I was in San Antonio covering high school basketball. These burgers are AWESOME!!! I recommend everyone to stop by and try it out. Oh, they also came out on the Food Network Man vs Food for the burger with the ghost chili.

Day 64: High School Basketball

I shot this photo on Friday March 5, 2010 in San Antonio. Kind of a slow game since the Valley school didn't pressure at all. I figured they would lose. The season is over and I will miss it.

Day 63: Film

Don't think I have forgotten about my goal! I have been really busy lately to update, but I still take my photo of the day. This is for March 4, 2010. I still have good memories of my film days. These roles sit on my desk because I carried them in my bag all the time. They consists of some Fuji Color Superia X-Tra, Kodak Professional Supra and Fuji Neo Pan. I have access to a darkroom down here and its the best thing ever.

Day 62: Io

So I had an assignment at the IMAS museum today about Genomes, but I got side tracked with Io. They were talking about the moon and other space stuff. Im a HUGE nerd for space. I actually sit down in my couch and watch the history channel or nat geo when they have programs about space. I dont know why i like it so much... I just do. Its interesting to learn about whats out there. If anyone out there wants to join me for a date at the museum... Im there haha.

Day 61: Truck

Went to get my ac checked on my car today for the second time. Hopefully its working now. I need to get my window fixed too. I dont know whats worst... going to the doctor or mechanic.

Day 60: Game

Day off!!! Did pretty much NADA today. I watched a high school basketball game, were both towns have the population between 700-1200. It was an interesting game. Tomorrow I go get my pass port.
