Day 302: PSJA Memorial

PSJA Memorial High School lost their first game tonight against Edinburg High School. One thing I am noticing about my camera is how it seems to focus on one side better than having both sides focused. I wonder if thats normal or its from dropping my camera on the floor a few times.

Day 301: Dance

So last night... past 12am... I went out with some friends to downtown McAllen. I actually had fun for the reason that there werent many people in the bars or on the streets. Anyhoo before people start going crazy about the this photo... this is not at a strip club. This is at a bar called the Dirty Bottle located on 17th street. You have women dancing on a poll without taking there clothes off. Anyhoo Ive been at this bar a few times and this a great place to get creative and take photos. I had a fun night... the best part is... I found Thirsty Monkeys and I will be joining them again woo hah.

Day 294: Plane

I only shot this photo because of the things I get to see as a photographer. This is are parts of a plane that crashed into the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle 40 years ago. Its an interesting story if you ever want to google it and read about it. This parts are located inside a gated area. I was able to get someone to open the gates so I can take a photo of it.

Day 291: Press Conference

Waited three hours outside the FBI building with media folks for Tiffany Young-Hartley. Here is the 411 in case you havent been watching the news lately. Hartley and her husband went to Falcon Lake located in Zapata County to go jet skiing for the day. Mexican pirates attacked the couple. Her husband was shot in the head and she was able to escape. Mexican and American government officials cant seem to find the body and many people think her story does not make sense. I personally dont know whats going, but somethings just dont make sense in my eyes. I feel like pieces of the puzzle are missing. I just heard a new rumor today and for some reason it makes sense, but who knows. So thats the story as of today.

Day 290: Veins

I was walking into the office and noticed this leaf all chewed up by some insect. I think this just looks awesome. I ended up taking the leaf and going to try to brush the leaf on paper to trace it. Maybe a gift? who knows?

Day 286: Choose

So many to choose from... I actually chose Sour Patch Kids hah. So this wasnt supposed to be my photo of the day. It was actually a band I shot earlier for Festiva, which is our features magazine. I actually had a good photo using model lights, but I noticed one of them was blinking. Grrrr the other photos were blurry and I wasnt able to use. Of course the photo I want has someone blinking. Hopefully I can shoot another band before the year is over. Will see. The photos of the band came out good... You can view them on my other photo blog at the end of the month or Festiva...
