Day 262: Tee Time

Spent pretty much all day covering golf. I actually enjoy covering golf. I drive around in a cart, get out every few times and shoot. Then do it all over again in the next hole. The weather was nice today too... so that helped.

Day 261: Orange

Slow but busy day today... I saw this at one of my co workers desk and thought it was cool.

Day 260: Friday Night Lights

First time covering football in over a year. I think I did good. Here is a shot from up in the press box while I submit my photos to the paper. AND NOW... YOUR MISSION VETERANS HIGH SCHOOOOOOL BAND!!!!

Day 259: Lights

I enjoy shots like this one. I start to think about space... Yea Im a space freak! I love it!

Day 258: Flashing Lights

Im home now. Found some amazing post it notes all over my apartment. It was kind of cool. I actually enjoyed looking at all of them. Im finding them everywhere though. I think I found a "Pillow" post it inside my bed... Hmm I wonder! hah anyhoo I went to State Farm Arena to cover Martina McBride. I enjoyed this light show a little to much hah.

Day 257: Volcano

On my way back to the Valley! I saw this and the first thing that came into my head was VOLCANO! I like the moon on the top too. I really love this photo. There are SO many things people dont see until they are in a plane.

Day 256: Chicos

Plain and simple... ITS AN EL PASO THING!!! Everyone needs to try this... plus they helped me a lot while I was in college. I worked four years during the summers.

Day 255: Ink

Got some new ink on me... I really like them. I have plenty of things I want to get. I have four now and I think the next one I will get might be a bigger one.

We had a bbq for my pops today... I was actually getting burned when I was shooting this...

This is my buddy. Her name is Paloma. Shes so cute and keeping me company while I chill at home. We pretty much did this all day today. Finally catching up on my sleep.

Day 249: Top Secret

This is my secret garden. I love this place and I hope one day to own a cabin here so I can runaway from the world. I wont say where it is, but just trust me when I say I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Day 248: Nuns

I headed out to the Saint Anthony's bazzar today... Didnt really like it much. All they had was food food and more food. I miss the days when there were games too.

Day 247: Fortune

Had a glah day today... I usually eat chinese food when I have days like today. I did meet up with some photo buddies today and had a good time just talking about whatever.

Day 246: Chile

Visited Las Cruces today. I lived here for five years while I attended school. I had a good time and walking around campus brought back good memories.

Day 245: Benjamin's

So Ive been going to casinos during my vacation... and thats cause my parents go all the time. First thing you see when walking in is the "No Video/Photos Allowed" OH SNAP!!! You cant really see much so Im not worried. Anyhoo as a photographer you are trained to shoot before getting kicked out. This reminds me of the time when I was at Dunkin Donuts in Chicago and the manager didnt let me take photos of the donuts... so I asked him to get me a donut and when he turned around I snapped my photo. Thanks BYE!!!

Day 244: Cemetery

Soooo you see that empty spot... Thats where Im supposed to be buried with my family. Thats if I dont get married or end up living somewhere else other than El Paso. My aunts, grandma and cousin are near by. You know This is the first time Ive actually gone to their graves. Lots of my family members have past away in the past five years. CRAZY!!! Its a nice looking place so I guess its ok.

Day 243: Sunset

I forget how AWESOME the sunsets are here in El Paso. I just made this one. I hope to get a better one while I am down here so will see.

Day 242: Above the Clouds

Left South Texas today to West Texas for vacation. I dont remember much of the trip since I slept most of it. It feels good to be at home... even if its for a while!

Day 241: PTAC

So I was challenged to bake a cake for a friends birthday.... Here is my Rum Pineapple "Turn Around" Cake! I dont know if it tastes good, but it looks good haha We'll see what happens.

Day 240: Teppanyaki

I could eat this EVERYDAY!!! So good yet so expensive. Im always like a kid watching the chef prepare the food. unfortunately our cook was new and didnt really know any tricks... but the food was good so I ll let it slide this time hah.

Day 239: Sunrise

Long day today... I was able to watch the sunrise!

Day 238: World Geography Class

One thing I wouldnt mind becoming is a teacher. I enjoy working and talking to kids. My mom wants me to become a teacher, but I tell her not yet. Maybe in a few years. I just cant give up on photography... not right now at least. So we'll see.

Day 237: Peanuts

First thing first... I had a good day at work. I cant wait to go home for vacation and not running into people. In other news... I spent my last whole dollar buying a bag of peanuts. People at work are screwing up my money... I NEED MONEY!!! Hopefully I get it this friday. And in MORE NEWS... Im planning to get some tattoos. I want to get the word HOPE in pink and black shade on my wrist. My wristband is slowing dying on me and I want the tat on my wrist. I also want to get 915 in old english somewhere AND stars on my right leg from my calf to my ankle. Maybe something galaxy or space think on my left shoulder, but that might take a while. I need to find a good drawing... maybe with color and some awesome drawings. Will see.

Day 236: Helmet

More football shots... lets see how creative I can get with these shoots. Note to people... I will be on heading home for a two week vacation so expect random shots of the day from home.

Its football time. This has to be my second football shoot. I enjoyed shooting this practice today.

Day 234: Up Stairs

So I walked around downtown this morning looking for a story that my reporter/editor wants to do. There are lots of cool ideas here so will see what happens. In other news I shot a concert that was pretty cool. They were religious bands and its weird cause Im not very religious, but I really like the music. Im not a music snob like others and I can name a few hah. I was walking towards the stage and I could just feel the positive energy. Its weird. I felt relaxed and comfortable there. I had a good time.

Day 233: Stained Glass

I had a shoot today at the museum and found this stained glass room. It was nice. Almost calming if it wasnt for the kids running around hah. Umm dont know what to say soooo The current song stuck in my head.... Brandon Flowers - Crossfire!!!

Day 232: Fire

Weird day today... It started of good... then I hit a low for a while. Ugh I hate when that happens. So Im in this low and Im off to go shoot some football and as Im driving over I see a car on fire and no fire truck around. So I pull in to a parking lot and as I get out a fire truck pulls up and starts to get their hose ready. By this time Im already shooting the scene. I remembered to pull out this camera to shoot my photo of the day hahah AWESOME!!! I went off to the game and the rest is history. Its funny how life works. I needed someone to put that fire out for me.

Day 231: Football

Wow ok I need to turn my football switch on... Its been a while. I also started calling my photo editor coach... It must be football time. Football seems to be my weakest sport... I think its cause I dont shoot different levels of football. No college or pro... just high school. Maybe I will change a little after this arena football team starts... arena football is a little weak hah. Basketball is my sport. Will see how this season goes.

Day 230: Secret

I dont know who this guy was, but I was sent to the Federal Building because there were Homeland Security vehicles surrounding the place. I dont now why they were there, but this guy called me over and gave a number in DC to call so I can get information. I looked inside this guys vehicle and wanted to play with everything. He had everything haha. I wondered if he was a military guy or ex military while he talked on the phone... I was right. He told me he didnt want to talk to me cause he learned his lesson in the military.. Never talk to the Media... smart guy. Cool thing was that he gave me that number. I like meeting people like this. Im sure he has an awesome past and I would LOVE to have some beers with him and listen to his stories.

Day 229: Sunset

Another day off. Had dinner at the Blue Onion. Went to the gym. Relaxed. Dont want to really type much... so I wont.

Day 228: Guitar

Lazy day number three! Not really! I actually woke up, got my oil changed, went to the gym, had a killer dinner and now Im chilling at home. Ive been trying to practice playing my guitar lately. I need to learn so I can play some songs and by the way things are going... or I plan to make them... I have to learn soon. So will see.

Day 227: Clear skies

I had a good time seeing an old friend last night. Im glad she is happy and doing great in NY! Cant wait to see her again! In other news, I headed out to the beach today for some R&R. I dont know why I like this photo, but I do. Add the moon somewhere in the sky and it was be awesome!

Day 226: Golden Hour

Anyone know what the golden hour is? Go ahead... google it if you want. Its related to photography. Anyhoo, today was a day off and just relaxed all day. Woop!

Day 225: Shooting

Weird day today... I was rushed to an explosion... FAIL! I was hoping to have a kick back day... NOT! I got called for a shooting. I dont know what really happened. All I know is that I was yelled by a police officer for crossing the yellow tape. Yea, we can get arrested... Almost happened to me once... luckily there was an investigator there to save my butt. I have photos of that officer haha. As a photographer I get to see a lot. Murders, shootings, explosions, concerts, sporting events... you name it. I guess my life is fun. Its not just arrive, point, shoot, get out. Hah if only you knew!

Day 224: Volleyball

It starts... High School Volleyball! I like shooting volleyball. I see a different view every time I shoot volleyball. I mean this sport has so many angles, I just need to find them. Ill tell you this right now... I havent shot volleyball since last season so Im a little off and cold haha, but Ill be ready to go tomorrow.

Day 223: Flower

Long day... Im done with the football tab!!! WOOOOO!!! For those in the RGV, make sure to check out the tab on Aug. 23.... I think hah

Day 222: Work

I had a interesting day today. Made friends. Got some numbers and finished one of the covers for our football tab. It looks good. I like it. I had dinner with a co worker and he let me vent a little haha. Bless his heart. Im debating if I should watch the meteor shower... maybe tomorrow since I have to worry about my last cover shot. Yes I am a SPACE GEEK!!!

Day 221: Fish

I like to eat chinese food and drink beer when I get mad! Can someone say emotional eater? haha

Day 220: Blue or Red?

Today was a good day. I headed out to the beach with some peeps and chilled for a while. Got my tan going and had a great time. Oh I did meet a girl... She was like 4 or something hah. She was the daughter of one of the friends. Crazy thing is I still dont know who the mom is hah. One of our friends brought this girl over to play in the water. She later left, but the girl stayed in the water and myself being protective I started to play with her. So guess what happened? Yea she made a bff hah. We kept playing with me. One of my friends told me I was ready to be a dad. Pshhh Im going to be a bad ass dad. Now if only women would start being so insecure and just trust me... Glah!!! Anyhoo I stepped out of the water for a while and this little girl came running to me and told me "Hey I went looking for you. Where were you?" I was like EEK sorry. We later took off and she was sad. Im sure ill never see her again haha but she was cool. I did have a good time talking to new people though. I just need to remind myself about the past. One thing I learned today was.... Dont try to impress someone, instead try to impress yourself. I think I like that. One more thing... You guys need to check out Oh No Oh My! They are from Austin and they are a great band. Im hoping to go see them perform again soon. We'll see.

Day 219: Rosary

Ive been a bum all day today. It feels great. My sister gave me this rosary a while back so it hangs on my door. I lost the cross that I had for 10 years last year while swimming at a pool. I wish I found it again. Im not very religious, but I do have faith. I dont really know what to write all I know is that everything is going to be alright.

I saw this flower at the entrance of our office. I shot it before someone stepped all over it. It was alone on the floor. Hmm thats how I feel right now =/

Im getting really burned out shooting these portraits. Im almost done and I cant wait.

Day 215: Set up

Today was a crappy day. I set this shoot up for two players and they took their sweet time to walk to the field. Well it decided to rain when they got there so I had to move this shoot till tomorrow. GLAH!!!!

Day 214: Weights

Soooo Ive been doing these portraits of high school football players for the past week and its a great workout. For those who dont know me... I sweat a LOT. So its kind of funny that I am covered in sweat when I arrive to the shoots. I also have to run up and down the schools looking for an area to shoot these kids. Anyhoo Ive been wanting to go to the gym and just workout. The problem is I am freaking tired when Im done. Another thing that sucks is that Im not eating cause Im trying to shoot these photos. So hopefully I finish these quick so I can get into the gym.

Ok one thing I have in my head. Misery by Maroon 5. AWESOME video. This girl is so hot!!! I dont know why I found her beating the crap of her bf so hot hahah... and thats one of my fears... well not getting beat up, but something like that. Anyhoo. check out the video and the song... its great. ONE!

Day 213: Green

Headed to the office to do some phone calls for this weeks photo shoots. For some crazy reason I like this photo. Its like the sky is filled with stars. This weekend was very relaxing. Did a lot of thinking. Hanged out with some coworkers and met new people. Im actually enjoying not going to the office. Just wake up pick up equipment and head out to go do shoots. I make my own schedule. Best thing ever... I just wish I was in a different location and getting paid more. Will see.
